Terms & Conditions

BuildYourApp offers in-person one-day trainings in which participants learn to build a web application using AI tools.

The training takes place at the location and on the date specified at registration.

The agreement is concluded at the moment that:

• the participant registers, and
• payment has been received or confirmed (in case of invoice).

After registration the participant receives a confirmation by email.

BuildYourApp reserves the right to refuse a registration without giving reasons.

All prices:

• include 21% VAT
• include lunch and training materials

Payment methods

• Private: immediate payment via Stripe (iDEAL / credit card).
• Business: Stripe or payment by invoice.

Invoice payment

• Payment term: 30 days from invoice date.
• For bookings within 7 days of the training: only immediate payment is available.

If payment is not received before the training date:

• participation may be refused
• the seat may be released to another participant

The payment obligation remains in force in all cases.

Registration closes 7 days before the training day by default. If a different period applies, this is shown on the training page. After the close date no new registrations are accepted.

The participant is required to complete all preparation steps in the BuildYourApp platform at least 48 hours before the training day.

BuildYourApp:

• monitors progress
• reaches out when preparation is incomplete

If preparation is not completed in time:

• participation may be refused
• no refund is due

Cancellation must be submitted in writing by email.

Cancellation tiers

Replacement participant

A replacement participant may be nominated free of charge up to 7 days before the training, provided that:

• preparation can be completed in time
• all required details are provided

Cancellation does not release the participant from the payment obligation.

BuildYourApp reserves the right to:

• reschedule a training
• cancel a training

In case of insufficient participants or unforeseen circumstances.

In that case the participant is entitled to:

• participation in a new date, or
• a full refund of the amount paid

No compensation is given for additional costs (such as travel or accommodation).

BuildYourApp is not liable for failure to perform the agreement in case of force majeure.

Force majeure includes, among other things:

• illness of trainers
• tool or internet outages
• government measures
• extreme weather conditions

In these cases an alternative date is offered.

Participation in the training is at the participant’s own risk.

BuildYourApp is not liable for:

• indirect damages
• consequential damages
• loss of data

Liability is in all cases limited to the participation fee paid.

During the training external tools are used, such as:

• GitHub
• Supabase
• Netlify
• AI tools

BuildYourApp is not responsible for:

• changes to these tools
• outages or downtime
• costs of external subscriptions

The participant is responsible for their own use of these tools.

After the training:

• the participant has 1 month of platform access
• and 1 year of community access

BuildYourApp reserves the right to change platform functionality.

• The app built by the participant is fully owned by the participant.
• All training materials remain the property of BuildYourApp.

It is not permitted to:

• copy materials
• use materials commercially
• reproduce trainings

without written permission.

Personal data is processed for:

• registration and administration
• communication about the training

Data is not shared with third parties unless necessary for performance (e.g. payment providers).

These terms are governed by Dutch law.

Disputes are submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
